“Glocal” digits: Study Abroad alum Max Smith publishes research on cell phones in Africa

SIT and Kenyon College alum Max Smith studied cell phone use in West Africa for his Independent Study Project with SIT Cameroon: Culture, Social Change, and Development. His results made him a published author. His book, The ‘Glocalization’ of Mobile Telephony in West and Central Africa, was published in September.
